Manhart created the open MH8 700 to satisfy the extreme desires of the owner. It is based not on the M8 (F91), but on the weaker brother M850i (G14), but this does not prevent Manhart from surpassing its older brother in almost every way.
The most important tuning program measure for the open BMW M850i xDrive is the performance enhancement of the 4.4-liter biturbo V8, aided by more powerful turbochargers, improved intercoolers and sports air filters, and ECU reassignment. Manhart has installed a stainless steel exhaust system with flaps for unobstructed yet louder exhaust fumes; racing straight-through pipes and OPF air bleed can also be used for customers without TÜV requirements. The V8 is boosted through a tuning package to 710bhp, according to Manhart. and 925 Nm of torque.
Front and rear spoilers and a carbon fiber diffuser make the BMW M850i Convertible look almost identical to the M8. The brake calipers visible behind the 20-inch Concave One rims have been painted gold to match the body decals. The caliper body shown is not the carbon ceramic brake available for the M8, but Manhart also offers more efficient brake upgrades than repainting the brake calipers on request. The tuning program for the M850i is completed by a 30mm reduction using a set of springs from H&R.
